Frankie Dettori continues his epic career and final fanfare year with another win in the 2000 Guineas aboard Chaldean for Juddmonte Farm

Trained by Andrew Balding, Chaldean, the son of Frankel, dropped Frankie Dettori last time out when coming out of the gate in the Group 3 Watership Town Stud Too Darn Hot Greenham ( Group 3) Stakes. The colt fared significantly better today winning the Group 1 Qipco 2000 Guineas under yet another world class ride by Frankie Dettori who simply continues to put a closing exclamation point on his outstanding career. It was Frankie Dettori’s fourth Guineas win, the first Classic Race in the UK flat racing season.
Auguste Rodin, the highly regarded colt from the powerhouse Aidan O’ Brien barn ridden by Ryan Moore went favored at the post but did not fire and was well beaten. In the end it was Chaldean and Frankie pulling away.
