Frankie’s Fanfare, Part 14: Frankie Dettori Prolongs Career and Will Ride in the United States Next Year in 2024

Could a Kentucky Derby still be in the cards for Frankie Dettori

Big New from the legend Frankie Dettori

Frankie’s Fanfare continues

Frankie Dettori announced on his Twitter X account @FrankieDettori that he will ride in the United States next year. Just about the only major races that have eluded one of the greatest if not the greatest of all time are The Melbourne Cup and The Kentucky Derby. Frankie had some nice Kentucky Derby prospects for trainer Bob Baffert last year however none of those panned out. Frankie has been riding in phenomenal form, as good as ever, aging like fine wine in the saddle and that combined with the potential of a live Kentucky Derby mount and maybe win could have prompted Frankie’s decision. We are glad to have him around a bit longer, and would love to see him get that Derby win.

Here the news from Frankie himself!

When we had Frankie on Past the Wire TV for our One on One with him as part of our Frankie’s Fanfare series one of our first questions was could a Brett Favre or Tom Brady be in the cards for Frankie. Check out what he said……just about 3 minutes and 30 seconds in, check out the entire great One on One of you haven’t caught it yet…

Frankie’s Fanfare continues in the saddle and at Past the Wire! Grazie Frankie!

Looks like we will see a few more of these:

@jonathanstettin Thank you. This is a truly beautiful tribute to a racing legend. Good to hear the true story of what happened that day.
