City Mischief (#3, 3/1) is entered Fair Grounds on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 in Race 6.
YOUR NOTES: City Mischief- 12/5/2021, Aqueduct, Race 8- Blocked on the inside and forced to check hard, lost all chance trapped inside and was full of run with nowhere to go, looked like absolute winner with a clean trip. 10 FIG 9-
Derecho Dandy (#9, 12/1) is entered Santa Anita Park on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 in Race 10 (Eddie Logan S.).
YOUR NOTES: Derecho Dandy- 8/7/2021, Del Mar, Race 4- Worked good for debut but broke slow and wound up behind horses on the inside, took a lot of dirt over a track favorable to speed, steadied a little looking for room and was saved for another day, should go forward. 10 FIG 4 –

HORSES TO WATCH:
GULFSTREAM PARK:
RACE 6- #1 Violent Zap was good and game enough to win her debut at 7 furlongs for Sweezy who is not at his best first out, that could mean this one has some talent, stretches out on the synthetic and I suspect with Lasix and the rail Lanerie might try to steal this on the front which would not be the worst strategy going into this spot in my opinion.
RACE 10- #2 Royal Spirit makes a lot of sense here coming out of two stakes, back with maidens, back on Lasix and with a nice inside draw for Paco to work with and save ground until it counts, if he gets the seam when he pushes the button he’ll be tough in here. A single to close it out?
SANTA ANITA:
RACE 10- #8 Boise is a nice fit in here and it looks like red hot Prat had some options and goes for this Wong runner, likes to finish and that helps the cause and I look for a good race out of this one in th closer. #4 Magley looked OK in his overseas replays, not great but definitely OK and meets no stars here, at least on the surface, gets a little antsy so paddock and post parade can shed some clues but in goof hands with Umberto at the controls.
OAKLAWN PARK:
RACE 7- #6 Sky and Sand adds Lasix after two decent starts in fields at least this good on paper maybe better, especially the debut, should be fit and ready for best to date.
