Keeneland Celebrates Heroes Day

Keeneland today hosted Heroes Day, which honored members of the military (active duty and veterans), first responders, health care workers and their families.

Highlighting the special events throughout the day was a moving flag rollout on the main track following the fourth race by the Henry Clay High School Junior ROTC and the singing of “God Bless America” by Dr. Everett McCorvey accompanied by Keeneland Bugler Steve Buttleman.

Heroes and their families enjoyed free general admission, reserved Grandstand seating and complimentary lunch on the North Terrace provided by Marriott Griffin Gate.

Racing resumes Wednesday with an eight-race program beginning at 1 p.m. ET.
