Keeneland September Sale Alumni Tom’s D’Etat, Midnight Bisou Cruise To Breeders’ Cup Berths

Keeneland September Yearling Sale alumni Tom’s d’Etat and champion Midnight Bisou secured Breeders’ Cup berths with their respective wins in the Stephen Foster (G2) and Fleur de Lis (G2) on Saturday at Churchill Downs.

Tom’s d’Etat established himself among the top older horses in the sport with a 4¼-length win in the Stephen Foster, his fourth consecutive victory, to punch his ticket to the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) at Keeneland on Nov. 7.

Midnight Bisou returned to her best form with an easy 8¼-length victory in the Fleur de Lis to secure a spot in the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1), also on Nov. 7 at Keeneland.

Other notable wins by Keeneland sales alumni include Dean Martini, winner of the Ohio Derby (G3), a prep race on the 2020 Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1), and Cazadero, who remained undefeated in capturing the Bashford Manor (G3).
