Saratoga Springs,NY: On Tuesday October 15th Fasig-Tipton will feature a mixed sale with 271 catalogued prospects with 200 of them being weanlings foaled in NY. The Saratoga Fall sale will offer some broodmare racing and broodmare prospects as well. The sale will be held at the Humphrey S. Finney Pavillion starting at 10:00 am.
Fasig -Tipton’s President Boyd Browning said; “This year the catalogue is 20% larger and they are expecting an attractive draw both locally and nationally of prospective buyers.”
The catalogue is available online here. Last years Saratoga Fall Sale saw an average price of $29,000.00 with a median of $20,000.00 per hammer. The Saratoga Fall sale has been a popular destination to purchase broodmares and weanlings especially those foaled in the Empire State. Many look at Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Fall sale as a place to grab prime breeding stock as they can take advantage of the lucrative state-bred program. Most of the mares offered are resident mares carrying foals that will be eligible to be registered as a New York-bred.
