Mo Town had his second weanling session topper of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale on Tuesday when his colt out of Supplement brought $65,000 from P & B Stable.
Bringing more than 8.5 times Mo Town’s 2021 stud fee of $7,500, the colt selling early in the session was offered by Mulholland Springs and bred by Forty Oaks. The third foal out of a Sky Mesa mare, the colt earned a big update when his dam’s half-sister saw her 2-year-old son Ready To Repeat finish second in the Grade I Summer Stakes in late September.
Also a stakes winner, Ready To Repeat is out of the stakes-placed Giant’s Causeway mare Christine Daae with another one of Supplement’s siblings producing Grade III winner Thatlookonyerface.
There is stakes form throughout the colt’s page with his granddam the stakes winner and Grade III-placed Descapate. Descapate’s dam has produced three stakes winners and a stakes placed horse in addition to multiple daughters producing stakes winners of their own.
Standing for $7,500 in 2021, Uncle Mo’s Grade I-winning son has seen his first weanlings through the ring topped by a $185,000 colt, who led Saturday’s overall session and gave his sire a 1-3 punch with Mo Town also siring the third most expensive weanling of the session.
