On September 9, 2026, Past the Wire received the following correspondence directly from HISA. The letter, signed by HISA CEO Lisa Lazarus and addressed to Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson and Commissioner Mark Meador, responds to an August 28 letter submitted to the FTC by Churchill Downs Incorporated CEO Bill Carstanjen.
