With the Bing Crosby Season right around the corner, we wanted to reach out and update our fans & supporters on racing Where the Turf Meets the Surf.
Everyone at Del Mar is thankful for the support we received from our fans and racing community over the summer. With your help we were able to make the best of an unprecedented situation and posted gains in field size and total handle. Best of all, Del Mar is on track to be named the safest racetrack in the country for a third year in a row.
Much like the summer meet, we are disappointed to not be able to welcome you on track for the Bing Crosby Season. Unfortunately, guidelines concerning large gatherings remain in place. We continue to work with state and local officials to ensure a safe environment for the horsemen & women that call Del Mar home, and will adjust to ever-evolving regulations as we are able to do so.
The good news is Opening Dayis Saturday, October 31 with live racing Fridays through Sundays at 12:30 PM, as well as an 11 AM card in store for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26. Our partners at TVG provide outstanding coverage all year long to watch & wager from the comfort of your #HomeTurfClub.
As always, Bing Crosby season is headlined by closing week’s Turf Festival. Seven graded stakes on the turf including the Grade I Hollywood Derby and Grade I Matriarch Stakes. Also, look for the new 50¢ cent Pick Six to debut this season.
