LEXINGTON, Ky.— Bobby Flay’s Pizza Bianca, winner of last fall’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1), and Klaravich Stables’ McKulick (GB), winner of the Belmont Oaks Invitational (G1), top a roster of 10 invitees to the 39th running of the $600,000 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup (G1) Presented by Dixiana for 3-year-old fillies.
The 1 1/8-mile grass test will be run Saturday, Oct. 15.
Trained by Christophe Clement, Pizza Bianca has won one of three starts in 2022 and has not raced since finishing eighth at Royal Ascot in England in June in the Coronation (G1). Invited from Europe is Glen Hill Farm’s Group 3 winner Paris Peacock (IRE), who is trained by Jessica Harrington.
Other invitees are Benowitz Family Trust, CYBT, Michael Nentwig and Ray Pagano’s Bellabel (IRE); David Bernsen and Schroeder Farms’ Cairo Memories; Chris Walsh’s California Angel; Marc Detampel and Fergus Galvin’s New Year’s Eve; Andrew Rosen’s Skims (GB) and Gary Broad’s Vergara.
