SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Sunday’s card at Saratoga Race Course will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $210,165 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Saturday’s 13-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $1,983 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Saturday’s sequence kicked off in Race 8 as Dapper Moon [No. 4, $10.80] took a seven-furlong maiden tilt with Ricardo Santana, Jr. up for trainer Dallas Stewart.
Four-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown sent out the next winner in the Dylan Davis-piloted McCullough [No. 1, $12.20], who took a 1 1/16-mile inner turf allowance in Race 9, one race before Brightwork [No. 9, $7.10] captured the Grade 3 Prioress, a six-furlong sprint with Luis Saez in the irons for conditioner John Ortiz, in Race 10.
In Race 11, the upsets continued with Immersive [No. 1, $27.40] drawing clear of Quietside in the Grade 1 Spinaway with Manny Franco aboard for dual Eclipse Award-winner Brad Cox.
The longest price of the sequence came with the Brown-trained Idea Generation [No. 8, $64.50], a pacesetting victor of the 11-furlong inner turf Grade 2 Flower Bowl under Florent Geroux, in Race 12.
With the carryover already guaranteed heading into the last leg, the Al Stall, Jr.-trained and Irad Ortiz, Jr.-piloted Over and Ollie [No. 1, $16.40] won an off-the-turf one-mile starter optional claimer in Race 13, triggering the carryover.
Sunday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 8 at approximately 3:59 p.m. Eastern. The sequence includes the Listed $150,000 Bernard Baruch [Race 11] and the Grade 1, $1 million Jockey Club Gold Cup [Race 12]. First post for the 13-race program is 12:05 p.m.
