WILMINGTON, Del. — AMO Racing USA’s Olivia Darling tops the $125,000 Dashing Beauty Stakes at Delaware Park this Sunday.  The six-furlong test for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and upward has attracted a field of nine.  The Dashing Beauty Stakes has been carded as the seventh race with an approximate post time of 3:30 p.m.

In her last, Olivia Darling was unplaced in the seven-furlong Grade I Derby City Distaff at Churchill Downs on May 4.  Previously, the 5-year-old daughter of Palace ran third in the 6 ½-furlong Grade III Hurricane Bertie at Gulfstream Park on March 9.  In her only other outing this year, the Kentucky-bred trained by Jorge Delgado won the seven-furlong Grade II Inside Information at Gulfstream Park on January 27.  She has a career record of five wins, seven seconds and two thirds from 20 starts with earnings of $382,763.

Lewis Matthew’s Red Hot Mess will be seeking her first victory since 2022.  The 5-year-old daughter missed most of her 2023 campaign due to an injury.  In her return, the Kentucky-bred trained by Chelsey Moysey ran second in the six-furlong $100,000 Rehoboth Stakes at Delaware Park on June 5.

“It was not hard getting her back because we let her decide what she wants to do,” said trainer Chelsey Moysey.  “That has been the big thing with this mare the whole time we have had her, is learning how to train her the way she wants to do things and when she is ready to do them.  I was really happy with the way she ran in the Rehoboth and I was really proud of her.  She is doing great right now.  She had a really good work on Saturday, so she is ready.”

Red Hot Mess has a career record of three wins and three seconds from ten starts with earnings of $125,600.  Her Delaware Park record is three wins and two seconds from five starts including a victory in one-mile White Clay Creek Stakes in 2021.
