OBS Preview: March Sale of Two-Year-Olds begins Tuesday

The 2021 OBS March Sale of Two Year Olds in Training begins Tuesday, March 16th. Hip No.’s 1 – 281 will sell Tuesday and Hip No.’s 282 – 563 will be offered Wednesday, March 17th. Both sessions will begin at 11:00 a.m. As always, the Sale will be streamed live via the OBS website as well as the TDN, DRF, Blood-Horse, and Past The Wire websites.

The catalog can be viewed via the OBS website at http://obssales.com. The website’s searchable and sortable master index provides links to under tack and walking videos, pedigree and consignor information as well as pedigree updates occurring since the catalog was printed. It has also been updated to allow shortlist creation.

All videos may also be viewed in the iPad version of the catalog, available via the equineline Sales Catalog App. The App allows users to download and view the catalog, record notes and also provides innovative search, sort and rating capabilities. Hip No. 90, a colt by Union Rags consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, picked up a graded stakes winning half sister when White Frost won Gulfstream’s Sweetest Chant Stakes (G3) on January 30th.

Hip No. 259, a Candy Ride (ARG) colt also consigned by Eddie Woods, has a newly minted stakes winning half brother in Silver State, winner of Oaklawn’s Fifth Season Stakes in January and yesterday’s Essex Handicap.

The pedigree of Hip No. 311, a Practical Joke filly consigned by Top Line Sales LLC, Agent, got  boost with the victory by Helium in last Saturday’s Tampa Bay Derby (G2).

Moon Swag, third in the Rachel Alexandra Stakes (G2) at Fair Grounds on February 23rd is a half sister to Hip No. 333, a colt by Brody’s Cause consigned by Fabian Sales.
