SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will be participating in the annual I Love New York Fall Path Through History Weekend on Oct. 9-10.
The Museum’s Path Through History event will feature a self-guided tour highlighting items from the Museum Collection specifically related to New York’s rich racing history. The tour will take visitors through each of the Museum’s galleries and include historical treasures such as the 1977 Woodward Stakes trophy won by Hall of Famers Forego and Bill Shoemaker at Belmont Park; the program, saddle, and silks from Hall of Famer Julie Krone’s 1993 Belmont Stakes victory aboard Colonial Affair; a variety of trophies of Travers Stakes winners spanning more than 120 years; and a collection of horseshoes worn by winners at New York racetracks.
The Museum will be open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning on Oct. 1, and will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Tickets can be purchased in person or online at www.racingmuseum.org.
