The Gambling Hall of Fame

Great Bets Deserve to be Remembered

Every gambler has a story. The horse nobody else could see. The championship future booked months early. The impossible parlay. The life-changing score.

Most of those stories are told for a while… then forgotten. Not anymore.

The Past the Wire Gambling Hall of Fame recognizes the players behind the bets — horseplayers, sports bettors, handicappers, contest champions, professionals, and fearless amateurs who saw what others missed and had the conviction to act.

This is not a popularity contest. This is where gamblers earn their place.

The Standard

Every submission is reviewed by the Past the Wire Gambling Hall of Fame Committee. We weigh the difficulty of the wager, the thinking behind it, the odds overcome, the significance of the moment, and the strength of the evidence. Tickets, account histories, contest results, published selections, videos, and social posts are all fair game.

Not every nominee is selected. Not every story survives scrutiny. That is what makes induction mean something.

The Induction

Inductees are invited to appear on Champions & Connections: The Rogues’ Gallery to tell the full story in their own words. Every inductee receives a permanent Hall of Fame profile featuring the winning wager, the story behind it, supporting evidence, and the complete interview.

No scripts. No manufactured drama. Just the player, the bet, and the truth behind the ticket.

Founding Inductee

JON STETTIN

Professional horseplayer. Founder of Past the Wire. Author of All 1’s: The Real Story of Ruffian.

Known to many as the Pick 6 King, Jon has recorded more than $3 million in Pick 6 scores, including taking down the Gulfstream Park Rainbow 6 twice in the same meet.

He built Past the Wire from the bettor’s side of the counter.

Make Your Case

You may submit your own story or nominate another player. Tell us about the player, the wager, the reasoning, and why it belongs in the Hall of Fame. Include any tickets, links, published selections, or other evidence.

You made the bet. You cashed the ticket. Now tell us why it belongs in history.

Disclaimer: Submission does not guarantee nomination or induction. Past the Wire may verify all claims, request additional documentation, decline any submission, and revoke an induction if material information is later determined to be false or misleading.

Always love your show. I have learned so much more about looking at possible contenders that have helped me with vertical bets. Not sure why we need to know who comes in 5th and to last. @davidburkholder6898 View testimonials
