Keeneland’s Fall Stars Weekend begins to take shape

LEXINGTON, Ky.—With a week to go until the opening of Keeneland’s 17-day Fall Meet, fields are beginning to take shape for Fall Stars Weekend Oct. 8-10 that will offer 10 stakes worth $3.65 million

Nine of the races are Breeders’ Cup Challenge tests that provide the winners with fees-paid berths into corresponding races at the 38th World Championships to be held Nov. 5-6 at Del Mar.

The following is a list of probable and possible starters for the stakes as compiled by Keeneland Stakes Coordinator Allison DeLuca.

$400,000 Darley Alcibiades (G1): Entries taken Tuesday, Oct. 5, race Friday, Oct. 8 Probable: Diamond Wow (trainer Patrick Biancone), Dream Lith (Robertino Diodoro), Mama Rina (Kenny McPeek), Myfavoritedaughter (Jeff Engler), Penny Saver (McPeek), Pipeline Girl (Tom Amoss), Runup (Laura Wohlers). Keeneland’s 17-day Fall Meet opens Friday, Oct. 8 and runs through Saturday, Oct. 30. 
Post time for the first race each day is 1 p.m. ET. No racing Mondays and Tuesdays.

at tickets.Keeneland.com or on the Keeneland Race Day app. To expedite entry at Keeneland, walk-up cash purchase will not be available at admission gates. Online advance-purchase.

General Admission tickets are $7; online day-of General Admission tickets are $10.
