ARCADIA, Calif.—Santa Anita Park, in conjunction with Golden Gate Fields, will be hosting an online auction this holiday season to benefit the California Retirement Management Account (CARMA), a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to rehabilitate, retrain and rehome Thoroughbred racehorses who have raced in California.
The auction which runs from November 25 through December 9offers a wide array of items and experiences to suit every age and personal interest. For the racing fan, highlighted items include signed memorabilia, signed photos, and a handicapping lesson from handicapping analyst and on-air personality, Anthony Stabile.
For those bidders looking for an experience outside of the racetrack, they can choose from vacation and experience packages such as attending the Country Music Awards or partaking in a Sonoma Wine Tour or, for thrill-seekers, a ride on the Highway to the Danger Zone with a ride in an authentic extra 300L Aerobatic Aircraft.
Featured items include a trail ride with Brianna Noble, founder of the Urban Cowgirl Ranch. The Urban Cowgirl Ranch focuses on using horses as a medium to inspire positivity and sustainability in local communities in the Bay area. Also featured is an exercise saddle signed by the 2022 Breeders’ Cup Jockey Colony and a leather halter worn by Grade I winner Hot Rod Charlie. More items will be added, and prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the page daily to see the new offerings.
