We have to throw a Low Five to Belinda Stronach. To suggest the scratch of Omaha Beach had anything whatsoever to do with any “new way” or new protocols or standards is a complete detachment from reality or worse. Richard Mandella, and many other trainers throughout the history of the Sport of Kings have always put the horse first. To imply otherwise and group those who do right with those who do not in a weak attempt at some sort of spin is just wrong, and incorrect. I don’t know, maybe she never heard of A. P. Indy, I Want Revenge, I’ll Have Another, Rachel Alexander, Fusaichi Pegasus, and many others in the past 100 years or so.
