MORRISTON, Fla. – Pleasant Acres Stallions is pleased to announce the arrival of DOPPELGANGER’s first foal – a strong and healthy filly out of Saucy Dame, a daughter of DISTORTED HUMOR. Born this morning at 9:30 am, the filly is owned by David Perrine of Perrine Time Thoroughbreds.

By DOPPELGANGER, a G1W son of INTO MISCHIEF, who is out of a stakes-winning daughter of the classic sire and broodmare sire QUIET AMERICAN, I am confident this foal is going to be a force!”
The foal’s 2nd dam is multiple stakes-winner STORM BEAUTY, by STORM CAT. With career earnings of nearly $180,000, she won the Miss Preakness Stakes and the Wilma C. Kennedy Stakes. STORM BEAUTY is dam to 4X black type winner and G2 placed STORMY WEST and G3W BUFFUM – who sold for $1.2 million at the Fasig-Tipton New York Saratoga 2009 Select Yearling Sale. Her 3rd dam is stakes-winner STICK TO BEAUTY, dam of MGSW and Eclipse Award Champion Sprinter GOLD BEAUTY who is the dam of 3X G1W, England’s Horse-of-the-Year, Champion 3YO Colt, and Champion Sprinter, DAYJUR. GOLD BEAUTY is also dam to 2X G1W MAPLEJINSKY – the dam to 9X G1W Eclipse Award Champion Older Mare and 2011 Hall of Fame inductee, SKY BEAUTY.
DOPPELGANGER is the ONLY Grade 1 winning son of INTO MISCHIEF in the USA outside of Kentucky. He broke his maiden in his debut at two, earning him TDN Rising Star status for his 3 ½ length win at Los Alamitos Thoroughbred. At three, he placed in the G2 San Felipe Stakes and G3 Affirmed Stakes at Santa Anita. With four wins at four, DOPPELGANGER was victor of the G1 Carter H and the Battery Park Stakes at Delaware Park.
DOPPELGANGER is out of TWICE THE LADY – a stakes-winning daughter of the classic sire and broodmare sire QUIET AMERICAN. His 2nd dam is Catherine’s Crown whose daughter, Michelle’s Crown, is dam to Louisiana Champions Day Turf Stakes and Louisiana Showcase Turf Stakes winner SNAKEBITE KIT. Catherine’s Crown is also granddam to MSW TO DREAM AGAIN. DOPPELGANGER’s 3rd dam, GSW CATHERINE’S BET, is the dam of Canadian Sovereign Award 1989 Champion 3-Year-Old Filly BLUSHING KATY and MIDNIGHT BET – a GSW of nearly $3 million in Japan.
