Asmussen Breeders’ Cup Quartet Work Sunday at Keeneland

LEXINGTON, Ky.— Four of trainer Steve Asmussen’s Breeders’ Cup hopefuls worked over a fast track early Sunday morning.

Breezing in company were Classic (G1) candidate Epicenter and Distaff (G1) hopeful Clairiere, who covered 5 furlongs in 1:01.20. Fractions for the work were :12.40, :24.60, :36.80 and 1:01.20 with a 6-furlong out time of 1:14.60.

Cotillion (G1) winner Society worked 5 furlongs for the Distaff on her own in 1:01.60 with fractions of :12.40, :25, :37.60 and 1:01.60, out in 1:15.40.

Champion Echo Zulu worked a half-mile on her own in :49.40 in preparation for the Filly and Mare Sprint (G1).
