Arrogate and The Other Big Names all “Doing Good” for The Dubai World Cup

March 21, 2017

Bob Baffert reports Arrogate is looking on edge for The Dubai World Cup on Saturday. He also says Hoppertunity has never been better. Todd Pletcher is pleased with Keen Ice and Neolithic, and Steve Asmussen has no complaints with Gun Runner.

With the race being run on regular dirt, it looks almost a certainty it will be won by an American based horse this year. If nothing else, switching back to dirt from synthetic a few years back has achieved what I think was at least one of the goals, to get more US horses.

The US contingent is deeper this year led by Arrogate. Should Arrogate win, he’ll become the biggest money winner in horse racing in only a handful of starts. This shows how different the purse structure is today than in times past. That said let it take nothing away from this brilliant runner, who we may not even seen the best from yet.

Good Work here, particularly this, which is being missed by many with good intentions. Folks wanting racing to end aren't getting messages that matter to them. Thanks.
