Past the Wire TV takes you in the booth for a live race call!
How exciting it must be to be a track announcer especially on big days like Fountain of Youth Day at Gulfstream Park. You can amplify that tenfold when a horse like Forte, the two-year old champion and early Kentucky Derby favorite is making their return to the races on a stakes laden card.
Pete Aiello has established himself as one of the premier race callers in the world. He brings a high level of accuracy, enthusiasm, excitement, and catchy phrases to his calls. It is a much tougher job than people realize. You have to memorize the names and colors, and watch the entire field whether 5 horses or 12 or more. You can’t be scared to call a photo or an early move and you also can’t call one that is too close to call. Watch Pete Aiello call a race on Fountain of Youth day from the booth at Gulfstream Park.
Prior to the call we have a question or two for Pete on the big day and his big calls.
You’ll love these two quick videos!
At Past The Wire TV we take you behind the scenes and bring you right into the booth to watch one of the best! Hey if it was easy everybody would be doing it. Thank you Announcer Pete and Gulfstream Park!
