Breeders’ Cup to Start Pre-Race Drug Testing

October 27, 2017

With the Breeders’ Cup announcing they will be pre-race drug testing 90% of the horses running, it will be interesting to see what effect that has on the results, if any. The problem is, will you really know?

It will become a very subjective argument to say the least trying to decipher who may or may not have won without such an announcement. If we are going to be honest we know there are outfits that push the envelope, many with precision I would imagine. We also know there are outfits that take things a step further.

I like the Breeders’ Cup trying to insure a level playing field on the big stage and it should be SOP at all racetracks really. I’m sure there will be some interesting discussions following this year’s event.

Jon: Excellent concise takes on the 3 big Saturday races. Looks like strong likelihood of off tracks in KY and NY, if so, probably won't help the closers. In addition to the seminar, will you be doing a Thoro- Graph analysis for the Derby? Your read of the TG numbers and patterns is mint and a must see!
