OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Saturday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will feature a Pick 6 carryover of $24,421 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday’s nine-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $370 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Friday’s sequence kicked off in Race 4 as Kendrick Carmouche rallied Lord Vicente [No. 2, $10.20] to a last-to-first victory for trainer Kenny McPeek in a one-turn mile maiden for 3-year-olds and up.
Persistent Danger [No. 9, $10.60] prevailed in Race 5, a claiming sprint for 3-year-olds and up, with Eric Cancel aboard for conditioner Rachel Sells and was followed in Race 6 by the Katie Davis-piloted Mad Banker [No. 3, $11], who scored for trainer Mark Hennig in a maiden claiming sprint for New York-bred juveniles.
Apprentice Luis Rivera, Jr. guided Bon Adieu [No. 1A, $4.70*] to a gate-to-wire victory for trainer Rudy Rodriguez in Race 7, a starter allowance for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up one race before Andy Hernandez steered Peak of Chic [No. 4, $8.20] to victory in an allowance optional-claimer for fillies and mares for owner/trainer Michael Moore.
With the carryover already confirmed ahead of Race 9, a six-furlong maiden claiming sprint for state-bred fillies and mares, George’s Vice [No. 4, $8.60] staved off the stubborn Army of Thoughts to secure a narrow score with Cancel up for trainer Linda Rice.
Saturday’s Pick 6 sequence begins in Race 4 at 1:46 p.m. Eastern and includes the $120,000 Garland of Roses in Race 8. First post for the nine-race card is 12:20 p.m.
