Santa Anita Will Not Allow Fans For Autumn Meet

September 22, 2020

In what has been considered status quo with the majority of racetracks since covid-19 reached the United States, Santa Anita announced today that they will forgo having fans for the upcoming autumn meet. In a statement sent out today that reads the following;

For the health and safety of our fans and community and guidance from local and state officials, Santa Anita Park remains closed to the public for the autumn racing season.  We encourage you to enjoy the races from the comfort of your own home by watching online at santaanita.com/live or on 1/ST BET – the official app of Santa Anita Park to watch, wager, and handicap the races. We look forward to the time when we can welcome you back to The Great Race Place.

The state of California has been one of the hot spots for covid-19 infection rates for continuous months and with the upcoming flu season approaching many people feel as though the infection rates will only increase.
