BENSALEM, Pa.— Cash is King LLC and LC Racing LLC’s Ridin With Biden captured his first graded stakes victory when he led from start to finish in the $200,000, Grade 3 Greenwood Cup September 24 at Parx.
Ridin With Biden broke on top from post position 5 and controlled the pace, cruising away under a hand ride to lead by two lengths through an opening quarter in 24.73. After setting splits of 49.51, 1:14.30, and 1:40.92, the Butch Reid trainee began strutting his stuff rounding the far turn, extending his lead over defending champion Magic Michael.
A mile and a quarter went in 2:06.54, Ridin With Biden safely in front. Magic Michael came running with a game rally but couldn’t catch the winner, who ultimately finished one length in front under Paco Lopez. The final time for the mile and a half marathon was 2:32.92.
Behind Magic Michael, Brooklyn Strong held on for third over Western River. Forewarned, Bossmakinbossmoves, Fearless, and The Reds rounded out the order of finish.
The top trio paid 19.20, 7.00, and 11.80 for their respective placings.
Ridin With Biden is a four-year-old gelded son of Constitution, out of unraced Medaglia d’Oro mare Allemande. Back in August, he scored his first stakes win, taking the Deputed Testamony at Laurel Park. He followed that up with a fourth-place effort in the Grade 3 Philip H. Iselin at Monmouth Park before heading to Parx.
Cash Is King LLC acquired Ridin With Biden at the 2020 Fasig-Tipton Mid-Atlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale. The price tag? $85,000. Thus far in his career, Ridin With Biden has collected total earnings of $385,080.
