Breeders’ Cup/Santa Anita Release
ARCADIA, Calif. — The Breeders’ Cup, the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority (HISA), the Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit (HIWU), and 1/ST RACING will host a media briefing focused on safety and integrity at the 2023 Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. PT in the Baldwin Terrace Conference Room at Santa Anita Park.
Experts from the Breeders’ Cup and 1/ST RACING will discuss and take questions from the media on the industry-leading equine safety protocols that will be in place for the 2023 Breeders’ Cup World Championships taking place Nov. 3-4 at Santa Anita Park.
Additionally, HISA CEO Lisa Lazarus and HIWU Executive Director Ben Mosier will discuss and take questions on the ongoing implementation of HISA’s Racetrack Safety and Anti-Doping and Medication Control Programs.
The briefing is open to credentialed members of the media. Media who are unable to attend in person will be able to view the briefing via livestream atBreedersCup.com or via Breeders’ Cup’s YouTube channel.
