Intrepid Daydream Wins $100K Tax Free Shopping Distaff

WILMINGTON, Del.— R Racing Stable’s No Sabe Nada scored a hard-fought victory the Delaware-bred or certified $100,000 New Castle at Delaware Park today.
With Kevin Gomez aboard, the 4-year-old son of Jersey Town prevailed by a nose over Rebel Empire with Mychel Sanchez. It was a length farther back to Golden Candy, with Axel Concepcion, in third. The final time for six furlongs was 1:10.19 over a fast-main track.
No Sabe Nada raised his Delaware Park record to six wins, a second and two thirds from 11 starts. His career mark is six wins, a second and four thirds from 16 starts with earnings of $303,590.
“He ran his eyeballs out and he got his nose out just in time to get the job done,” said winning trainer Edward “Ned” Allard. “We are going to just digest this win today and go from there.”

With Jevian Toledo aboard, the 4-year-old daughter of Jess’s Daydream recorded a 2 ¾-length victory and retuned $4.40 as the favorite in the field of seven. Late Frost, with Jeiron Barbosa, ran second and it was another 3 ½-lengths farther back to Tappin Joise, with Kevin Gomez, in third. Intrepid Daydream covered the six furlongs in 1:10.08 over a fast-main track.
The Maryland-bred conditioned by Gary Capuano raised her Delaware Park record to four wins and a second from seven starts. Her career record is five wins from eleven starts with earnings of $262,760.
