Curlin Offspring in Top Three on Poll

LEXINGTON, Ky.—After her brilliant victory in the Grade 2 Shuvee last weekend, Repole Stables, Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and Michael House’s Nest has flown to the top ranks of the NTRA Thoroughbed Poll to number three for trainer Todd Pletcher.
With Godolpin’s Cody’s Wish, still in first place, Juddmonte’s Elite Power, who will start this weekend in the Grade 1, $350,000 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap at Saratoga, stands in second on the poll.
Both Cody’s Wish and Elite Power are trained by Bill. All three of the aforementioned horses are sired by Culin.
Gary & Mary West’s West Will Power, recent winner of the Grade 1 Stephen Foster for trainer Brad Cox remails in the number four spot.
Repole and St. Elias Stables’ Grade 1 Manhattan winner Up to the Mark sits at number five for trainer Todd Pletcher.
Week 26 of the 2023 NTRA Top Three-Year-Old Thoroughbred Poll and the NTRA Top Thoroughbred Poll conducted by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), covering racing performances through July 23. Voting is conducted by national media.
The Top Thoroughbred poll represents horses competing for Horse of the Year. The Top Thoroughbred Poll concludes on Tuesday, November 7 following the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
Rankings on both polls are on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-1 basis with first place votes in parentheses, 2023 record and total points. A-S: Age-Sex, Sex: C-colt, G-gelding, H-horse, F-filly, M-mare, R-ridgling.
