Medaglia D’Oro filly hammers for $1.6 million at September Sale

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Shadwell Estate Co. Ltd. paid $1.6 million for a filly by Medaglia d’Oro who is a half-sister to European stakes winner Sergei Prokofiev during today’s second session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Anderson Farms, agent, consigned the filly, who is out of the Tapit mare Orchard Beach.

Repole, St. Elias, Gainesway, J. Oxley and Grandview paid $1.2 million for a colt by Curlin out of Grade 1 winner Midnight Lucky during today’s second session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent, consigned the colt, who is from the family of Grade 1 winners Hookedonthefeelin, Pussycat Doll and Jimmy Creed. Midnight Lucky is by Midnight Lute.

Mike Rutherford paid $1.2 million for a filly by 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah during today’s second session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Betz Thoroughbreds, agent, consigned the filly, who is out of Grade 1-placed winner Modification, by Vindication.

Courtlandt Farm paid $1.025 million for a filly by Into Mischief whose third dam is Hall of Famer Personal Ensign about 1½ hours after the start of today’s second session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Clearsky Farms, agent, consigned the filly, who is out of the winning stakes-placed Distorted Humor mare Mary Rita.

BSW/Crow paid $1.025 million for an Into Mischief filly who is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Gift Box and Grade 2 winner Stonetastic during today’s second session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Machmer Hall Sales, agent for Machmer Hall I, consigned the filly. Her dam is the Unbridled’s Song mare Special Me.
