Justify Going to Australia

April 4, 2019

Coolmore is sending two Triple Crown winners to Australia for the upcoming Southern Hemisphere breeding season. The unbeaten Justify will join American Pharoah at Jerrys Plains, in New South Wales.

“Justify was a phenomenal racehorse who re-wrote the history books through his achievements on the track. It’s an absolute privilege to stand him at Coolmore Australia alongside our other U.S. Triple Crown winner American Pharoah, who has already been so well supported by Australian breeders,” said Coolmore Australia principal Tom Magnier.

Justify broke the “Curse of Apollo” taking the Kentucky Derby (G1) by two and a half lengths. He was the first horse since Apollo in 1882 to win the Run for the Roses without having a start at 2.

He was undefeated in a racing career that spanned just under four months, and began with an imperious nine and a half-length victory in his debut at Santa Anita in February. A buzz followed him immediately after that initial victory and he never let his backers down even over sloppy surfaces.

@jonathanstettin @SetteBetterDays @JimGazzale Big Thanks to JS for doing the Lecomte show. I know he isn't the biggest fan of Fairgrounds. We have been asking for FGS coverage for a long time and PTW delivered! GRACIAS JS!
