Churchill Downs Press Release

LOUISVILLE, Ky.— The final pool of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager is set to make its three-day run Thursday-Saturday where Repole Stable and St. Elias Stable’s Forte was tabbed as the solid 5-2 favorite in the field of 39 individual horses plus a 40th option for “All Other 3-Year-Olds” not listed.

Unlike the first five Future Wager pools, Pool 6 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager will close Saturday at 6 p.m. ET., which is 40 minutes before the $1 million Florida Derby (Grade I) and 1 hour and 50 minutes prior to the $1.25 million Arkansas Derby (GI) – making it a true future wager.

Pool 6 will feature $2 Win and Exacta wagering. Fans can wager via www.TwinSpires.com along with simulcast and ADW outlets from around the country.

Forte, the 4-5 odds-on favorite in the Florida Derby, will have his final test Saturday before the $3 million Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve (GI) on Saturday, May 6.
