Corey Johnsen, President and part owner of Kentucky Downs, one of the best kept secrets in racing, will be the keynote speaker at the National HBPA 2017 convention March 8-11 in Las Vegas. Johnson has been very instrumental in bringing Kentucky Downs into national prominence, and has made their meet into an exciting boutique meet, with great purses, great horses, competitive racing, and lucrative wagering opportunities into respectable pools. They deserve a Breeders’ Cup Win and You’re In race and some Grade 1’s. It’s just a matter of time. Past the Wire and I are big fans and supporters of Kentucky Downs, and Corey Johnsen.
