Brittany Stable’s homebred Clealy a Test prevailed by a neck in a three-way duel with Emily’s Bullet and Lightofmaine who missed second by a head in the $60,000 Cajun Miss Stakes at Evangeline Downs.

Guitar Solo under Devin Magnon took the lead and the field through quick fractions of 22.42 and 45.51. Lightofmaine prompted the pace to the turn as Jose Guerrero aboard Clearly a Test stalked the pace to midway on the turn. Emily’s Bullet was unhurried in the early going to be near the back of the pack.

Clealy a Test rallied three wide to take control at the top of the lane as Lightofmaine tipped out to make a two wide bid on the turn to challenge for the lead from between horses. Emily’s Bullet commenced a rally midway on the bend circling six wide to be gaining down the lane.

Guitar Solo sped to the lead while well in hand, held a clear advantage for a half and folded when challenged nearing the quarter pole.

Lightofmaine battled through the lane and was outfinished in deep stretch in a game effort for third. Emily’s Bullet surged late to just miss first. Clearly a Test prevailed in a determined drive in a well-handled ride.
