Belmont Stakes Racing Festival to feature complimentary samples of popular cocktails and other beverages
Moët Hennessy, White Claw and Day Chaser ® Cocktails among brands to be offered
ELMONT, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) today announced that fans attending the 2022 Belmont Stakes Racing Festival will have the opportunity to enjoy complimentary samplings of alcoholic beverages from some of the industry’s most popular brands.
Over the course of the three-day festival, Thursday, June 9 through Saturday, June 11, a number of Belmont Park partners will offer free samples of a variety of hard seltzers, hard ciders and cocktails in the newly renovated and refurbished Belmont Park Backyard. All samplings are available free of charge, while supplies last, to fans 21 years of age and older.
On the first day of the festival, White Claw Hard Seltzer, the official hard seltzer of Belmont Park, will sample its popular Black Cherry and Strawberry flavored seltzers from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. White Claw will also be sampling from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 10, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Belmont Stakes Day, Saturday, June 11.

Day Chaser, The Official Canned Cocktail Sponsor of Belmont Park, is a ready-to-drink spirit-based canned cocktail made with real fruit juice, sparkling water and features a variety of tequila soda and vodka soda styles. This easy drinking beverage is perfect for those living an active lifestyle full of adventure. All Day Chasers are 100 calories, certified gluten free, with only 2 grams of carbs, 1 gram of sugar and no artificial ingredients. Day Chaser features the perfect balance of real spirit, fruit flavors and carbonation. Samplings of Day Chaser’s Cranberry and Lime vodka soda styles will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, located adjacent to the Day Chaser portable bar.
Woodchuck Hard Cider, the brand that started the American hard cider revolution in 1991, based in Middlebury, VT. Samplings will be located adjacent to the Woodchuck portable bar from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Selections available exclusively on Belmont Stakes Day, Saturday, June 11 include:
Molson Coors’ Vizzy Hard Seltzer. Sampling will be held adjacent to the Coors Light Gazebo from noon to 3 p.m.
Deutsch Family Wine and Spirits will feature theUnion Julip, made with Redemption Bourbon, simple syrup and fresh mint; and Gin’n’Juice Spritz made with Gray Whale gin, elderflower liqueur, grapefruit juice and a splash of soda. The drinks can be sampled from noon to 4 p.m. at the Josh Cellars gazebo and will be available for purchase at the Crop & Saddle Bar.
Moët Hennessy’s Chandon Garden Spritz cocktail, a blend of sparkling wine served over ice with an orange peel. Moët Hennessy will sample the cocktail from noon to 3 p.m. at the Chandon Garden Spritz Paddock Terrace.
In addition to the weekend’s sampling offers, the Belmont Stakes Festival experience isn’t complete without a Belmont Jewel, the official cocktail of Belmont Park available for purchase all three days of the event. Made with Woodinville Straight Bourbon Whiskey, lemonade, pomegranate juice and a lemon twist for garnish, the Belmont Jewel will be available for purchase in the Backyard and at concession stands throughout Belmont Park.

Day 1 of the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival on Thursday, June 9 is a twilight racing program featuring nine races with a post time of 3:05 p.m. Eastern. First post on the 11-race Friday, June 10 card is 12:50 p.m. First post on Belmont Stakes Day, which will feature 13 races, highlighted by the Belmont Stakes presented by NYRA Bets, is 11:20 a.m.
