OCEANPORT, N.J.— Carryovers in both the early Pick 5 and the Jersey Shore Pick 6 will be featured during Monmouth Park’s 11-race card on Saturday.
The carryover for the Pick 5, a 50-cent base wager, is $23,019 after no bettors hit the early Pick 5 wager on Friday’s card.
The Jersey Shore 6, a jackpot bet with a base wager of 20 cents, is $23,878. It gets paid out in its entirety only if there is a single winning ticket.
Friday’s early Pick 5 went un hit after the longest shots in the field won the first and second races. Abe Honestly, ridden by Jose Batista, returned $27.80 to win in the first race while Vikram, with Jorge Gonzalez in the irons, paid $67.40 in the second race.
The best that bettors could do in the early Pick 5 was four out of five despite the fifth race being won by 9-10 favorite Flip My ID.
Saturday’s early pick 5 starts in the first race. Post time is 12:40 p.m.
The Jersey Shore 6 begins in race six.
