Friday Live Racing Cancelled At Woodbine Due To Poor Air Quality

Woodbine Release

TORONTO, Ont. – Woodbine Entertainment has announced today’s card of live racing at Woodbine Racetrack is cancelled due to poor air quality.

Environment Canada’s air quality index for Toronto is listed as ‘High Risk’ and is expected to remain at this level throughout Friday. Woodbine’s decision to cancel comes through consultation with the HBPA and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and is consistent with the AGCO’s air quality guidelines

This cancellation has been made in the best interests of the health and safety of our horses and racing participants.

Woodbine will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as required.

The next card of live racing is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 1:05 p.m.

Editor’s Note: Our thoughts and prayers are with our Canadian cousins in this turbulent time.

@PastTheWire JS, you fellas are so light years far better than any other cappers, I’ve stopped paying serious attention to advice from anywhere else and just wait for the opportunities as they are presented here by you, @SetteBetterDays and Jim. And we go with that.
