In order to conduct auctions in a safe manner, the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company will continue with the health and safety protocols instituted in 2020. In addition, face coverings are now mandatory in the sale pavilion, under the covered walking ring and in the back walking ring.
Attendance at sales and breeze shows will be restricted to sale participants only, with social distancing encouraged in all areas. Employees will wear masks when interacting with the public.
Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the facility, cleaning crews will again wipe down and disinfect common areas, all interior doors will remain open and exterior doors will be manned and opened for customers. There will be no valet parking. Seats in the auditorium will be blocked off for social distancing.
OBS will continue to offer Online Bidding during all Sales. Buyers may go to the OBS website and register to gain bidding approval, then access the OBS Bidding Screen with their credentials. Phone bidding will also be available for approved buyers.
The Food Court will offer limited service. Consignors may place advance orders for their staff.
The Inside Bar will be closed for service and the Tiki Bar will be limited to take away service.
Current information about OBS sales, consignors and graduates is now also available via social media sites Facebook and Twitter. A link on the homepage directs users to either site.
Sales results will be available on the OBS website, updated frequently during each session of the Sale. In addition, the latest news regarding OBS graduates, sales schedules, nominations, credit requests, travel information and other news relevant to OBS consignors and customers is also available.
