Our hosts Michael Wilson and Jonathan Stettin again deep dive delve into the claiming game and how it can and often does lead to the dumping of horses. This is a term that has no place in Thoroughbred Horse Racing and certainly not if we are to return to being The Sport of Kings.
Sadly there are meets and rules that allow and even encourage this practice though that is not he intent. Mike and Jon go into a lot of the issues, why and how they occur and also explore possible solutions.
Show some support for the horses and weigh in with your comments and likes and share the video so we can bring awareness. With awareness comes change. We need change. One horse “dumped” is one too many. One horse raced unsound or sore is one too many. Show your support and just say no to dumping and yes to complete claiming rules reform!
There are a lot of good caring people in this sport that put horses first and treat them as they deserve. You. are only as strong as your weakest link however; those who don’t put the horses first ruin it not only for those who do, but for the horses. Let’s be better!
