Travers Day Generates $54M+ in Wagering

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) today announced that Saturday’s blockbuster 14-race DraftKings Travers Day card at Saratoga Race Course, highlighted by Sovereignty’s victory in the 156th running of the Grade 1, $1.25 million DraftKings Travers, generated wagering handle of $54,309,929.

Paid attendance on Saturday was 48,255 with on-track handle of $10,369,950.

The DraftKings Travers was the centerpiece of a card featuring five Grade 1 events including the $500,000 Personal Ensign, the $500,000 H. Allen Jerkens Memorial, the $500,000 Resorts World Casino Ballerina and the $500,000 Forego. 

FOX presented live coverage of the DraftKings Travers as part of an expanded edition of FOX Saratoga Saturday, which aired for six consecutive Saturdays during the 2025 summer meet at Saratoga.
