Can You Help Us Produce The Thoroughbred Makeover?
Retired Racehorse Project Release
EDGEWATER, Md.—September is here: the air is getting crisp, and the leaves are starting to change, and that means only one thing for us at the Retired Racehorse Project… the Thoroughbred Makeover is nearly here.
As a non-profit organization with a mission to increase demand for Thoroughbreds beyond racing, the Retired Racehorse Project produces the Thoroughbred Makeover as an important part of that mission. We’re not a horse show organization: we’re an organization that produces a retraining competition as part of that larger charitable mission.
To that end, we’re asking you for some help in finishing our Fund-a-Need campaign to cover some of the underlying costs of producing that event: we’re SO close to fully-funding these parts of the Makeover, and with your support, we know we can do it! For a donation as small as $3, you’ll be contributing in a tangible way to this competition, which inspires thousands of equestrians to get involved with Thoroughbreds beyond racing.
Don’t forget: we have the final $1,000 of our anonymous match donation pledged for September, so your donation will be DOUBLED.
Remaining to fund:
- 137 more cups of coffee for volunteers ($3 each)
- 93 completion ribbons for participating trainers ($4 each)
- 339 volunteer lunches ($13 each)
Can you help us out? We’re SO grateful for your support!
