Michaela Moricová has been writing about horse racing since high school. At first, only via Facebook, where a group of enthusiasts noticed her and offered her a freelance position at Galopp Reporter, a Czech website covering local racing and the international scene.
During her studies at university, she continued working for the website until she graduated from English Philology; she ditched the Ph.D. prospects in order to pursue her passion as she joined the JazzGS team. For more than a year, she dove deep into G3 and G2 races in the US, al the groups ran in Japan, and G1s worldwide, such as the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe meeting.
She is interested in everything revolving around horse racing, including jump season in the UK or the not-so-bright future of Czech racing, about which she delivered an article for Thoroughbred Racing Commentary. She still lives in the heart of Europe – the Czech Republic where she belongs among prominent horse racing writers.
Michaela is an admin of a Czech/Slovak horse racing group of about 13K members: Michaela’s Facebook Group
