Ernie Belmonte is the West Coast photographer for Past the Wire. Ernie has been a photographer since 2016. He has been going to the races since he was a little kid when he first became a fan of the Sport of Kings. In 2018 he developed a passion for photographing horses while racing and in action in addition to the morning during training hours. His work reflects this. Ernie started becoming a credentialed photographer in 2018 and has covered California racing for various publications including major events like The Breeders’ Cup.
