Ashley has been an avid horse racing fan since she was introduced to the sport through the Joanna Campbell series “Thoroughbred.” As a Georgia native and with no connections to the industry at all, Ashley taught herself everything she knows about the sport by reading anything she could get her hands on.
In college, Ashley studied Literature and History, with a particular interest in Native American history and the Plantagenet and Tudor periods in England.
Ashley began writing about Horse Racing in 2011. When she’s not handicapping races, Ashley enjoys reading, visiting farms in Kentucky with her mama, and spending time with her husband, their four children, and their dog Kele. Aside from covering horse racing, Ashley also bartends.
