Due to Hurricane Helene; New Dates October 24-27
The Jockey Club Release
LEXINGTON, KY.—The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) and Stable View announced that the T.I.P. Championships at Stable View, originally scheduled for this weekend, have been rescheduled for October 24 – 27, 2024.
“We are all saddened by the tragic events that occurred in the southeastern U.S. over the weekend. The community of Aiken was hit with strong winds and rain, and many locations, including Stable View, continue to be without power even today,” said Kristin Werner, coordinator of T.I.P. “After thoughtful consideration for those competitors and officials coming from 23 states and Canada for the event, and taking into account the ongoing recovery efforts in the Aiken area and at Stable View, the decision to postpone was jointly made by Stable View and T.I.P.”
Stable View will offer a full refund to all competitors who are unable to participate during the new dates. In addition, T.I.P. Championships declarations and entries will re-open, providing an opportunity to participate in the event to those who may not have been able to make the originally scheduled dates.
All scratches must be communicated via email to secretary@stableviewfarm.com by Friday, October 4. These entries will be refunded. Those not requesting a refund will have their entry transferred to the new weekend.
For new entries, please use evententries.com. If you also need to declare your horse for T.I.P. Championships, please visit tjctip.com/About/CSF for a link to the declaration form. New declarations and entries will close October 15.
“We’re sorry for the inconvenience this will cause,” said Werner. “We look forward to hosting a quality event, and we hope you’ll accept our apologies and will transfer your entry to the new dates. We are incredibly grateful to the owners and staff of Stable View, who are graciously preparing to welcome our Thoroughbreds while being in the midst of communitywide cleanup efforts themselves.”
Created and announced in October 2011, T.I.P. recognizes and rewards the versatility of the Thoroughbred through sponsorship of Thoroughbred classes and high point awards at sanctioned horse shows, year-end performance awards, a recreational riding program, and non-competition awards.
