Songbird, fresh off a $9.5 million purchase by Amanda Pope, has been booked for a date in the breeding shed with Arrogate, adding a paltry $75,000 stud fee to Pope’s investment.
This is one of the more exciting matings in recent breeding in the Sport of Kings, though we all know that doesn’t guarantee making it to the gate or even breaking your maiden if you do. Nonetheless hope springs eternal, and this will be enjoyable to watch while we all hope we get to see something really special.
