SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Friday’s card at Saratoga Race Course will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $85,966 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s 11-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $1,146 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Thursday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 6 with a win from Rina’s Revenge [No. 6, $9.50] in a six-furlong maiden special weight with Hall of Famer Javier Castellano aboard for trainer Kenny McPeek.
Kendrick Carmouche piloted the next winner as the Hall of Famer Todd Pletcher conditioned Final Score [No. 1, $20.60] captured the Grade 3, $175,000 With Anticipation, in Race 7. The next race saw Castellano visit the winner’s circle again, this time aboard Johny’s Rendezvous [No. 1, $8.80] in a 1 1/8 mile maiden race on the Mellon turf for conditioner Phillip Bauer, in Race 8.
In Race 9, Eric Cancel navigated Bramito [No. 1, $11] to victory in a seven-furlong claiming race for trainer Gustavo Rodriguez. In Race 10, a one-mile starter optional claimer on the inner turf, Manny Franco prevailed aboard Cynane [No. 1, $6.40] for conditioner Brad Cox.
With 5-of-8 horses covered in the Race 11 finale, a 5 1/2-furlong maiden claiming race on the Mellon turf, the Edmund Davis-trained Extraordinary One [No. 4, $26.60] triumphed with Katie Davis in the saddle, triggering the carryover.
