Welcome to week 3 of my journey to the 2026 BCBC. We go to Aqueduct for this week’s $20 qualifier. I am writing and logging this the night prior to these races as I will be walking through Disney World as they will be running and (hopefully) following along as we go. Similar position last week at Del Mar as we had a chance going into the last race but out selection did no running. Let’s move on to tomorrow.
Aqueduct Friday 12/4
Race 1 – 6 Autumn’s Turn, take the second choice chalk here as the quality of this race is about as low as it goes and the 1/1 favorite is bred for grass so give me second choice on the morning line.
Race 2 – 4 Trust issues, a good mix of a slightly decent price. You know you’re always going to get a top effort ride from Mr. Elliot.
Race 3 – 4 Tizlawry, this horse race well especially late last time out on grass. Now they try again on dirt. Figures on turf best this field, just need it to translate to dirt.
Race 4 – 7 Best Bet, this is a tough race going long with horses that are either bad, old, or both. Best Bet could hit the front end and keep going.
Race 5 – 4 Rose Lisa, sometimes you just need to know when to take the chalk.
Race 6 – 6 Funny Uncle enters in a race that should have a decent pace set up and his late pace is consistent and tops this field.
Race 7 – 5 Refuah, consistent late pace figs, while he is 6 he is one of the youngest in this group.
Race 8 – 7 Asking for a friend, near the tops in all class metrics, somewhat weak field with horses who haven’t made a leap in terms of form in years. ,
