Reminder: HISA Requirements for Working Off a Vet’s List

December 11, 2024

THA Release

HISA has asked horsemen’s associations to remind trainers about the protocols for a horse working off a vet’s list. The blood sample collected following that workout is subject to the same testing measures as a post-race sample. For example, the withdrawal guidelines for basic medications such as acepromazine and omeprazole are 72 and 24 hours, respectively, and that should be a consideration when scheduling a vet’s list workout. Additional protocols can be viewed HERE.

Great show I'll be capping from bottom up from now on paying more attention to fractions than speed figs "you can't beat who you can't catch" like that
