Racing Australia Release
MELBOURNE, Vic.—Racing Australia has put in place a new structure to provide Australian Thoroughbred Racing Materials to the market. Previously Racing Materials were supplied through three authorised and approved wholesalers, Mediality, BettorData and Racing Australia itself.
In an effort to resolve complexities with compliance and enforcement of the copyright and IP rights of its members, Racing Australia has determined to step back from its role as a wholesaler of Racing Materials and has appointed five wholesalers who will supply Racing Materials information to WSP’s, bookmakers and other interested parties.
Racing Australia will take on a compliance role to ensure a competitive and equitable market. By improving the transparency of who is being supplied Racing Materials we will also be able to identify those individuals who are supplying and / or using Racing Materials without authorisation.
The five authorised and approved wholesalers who have been appointed by Racing Australia are:
- BettorData
- BetMakers
- Mediality
- News Perform (Punters Paradise)
- Racing and Sports
All authorised and approved wholesalers will operate under the same terms and conditions under a Wholesaler Agreement executed with Racing Australia.
The new wholesaler arrangements will commence 1 July 2025. Whilst we expect there will be some changes in the market in the short term it is our view that this move will result in benefits to all parties.
